The Divorce Recovery Programs provides workshops, support groups and seminars for adults and a children’s support program called Art for the Heart. These programs are available to any adult or child whose parents are in any stage of separation or divorce. We work with many professionals to bring you a wide range of divorce support for you and your children.
Most of the programs we provide are either free or require a modest fee. All Seminars are free of charge and our eight-week workshops have a fee of $25 while the children’s support program has a fee $8 per child. Scholarships are available for those who struggle financially. All events take place on the campus of Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, Arizona 85253.
Who is the Divorce Recovery program appropriate for?
- Anyone negotiating divorce
- Newly separated considering divorce
- Divorce is already final
How many workshops are recommended for a good divorce recovery process?
We recommend three to four consecutive workshops. Each workshop is eight weeks long, usually followed by a month break.
How is your workshop structured?
A short topic will be covered each week followed by group discussion that is facilitated by a trained leader. We usually place eight to ten people in a group.
Do I have to be a Christian or attend your church in order to participate? No.
While this is a Christian program, we welcome all people. Our desire is to bring comfort and hope to those who are hurt and confused as a result of marital breakdown.
Is there a children’s program?
Valley Presbyterian has a youth program already in place (from infants through High School age) that runs at the same time our divorce recovery program is in session. Please give us any information that can help us know how to help you or your child.
